Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition: Terms and conditions for ticket sales

1. About these terms
These terms and conditions cover the sale of tickets for the Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (Stripe YSTE).

Purchasing

2. Who can buy tickets
To purchase tickets from Stripe Technology Company Limited, you must be 18 or over and have a valid payment method. All purchases are subject to payment verification and security checks. We may cancel your transaction if it doesn’t pass our verification process.

3. Payment terms
Payment terms and invoice schedules are confirmed at the time of booking and vary by ticket type.

4. What you need
You’ll need a valid email address to receive your tickets, QR code, and all the important details.

5. Fair play
Don’t use bots, automated systems, or any unauthorised methods to buy tickets. We may cancel and void any transactions that we reasonably suspect are unauthorised or fraudulent.

Using your ticket

6. Valid only for the date and time booked
Tickets are sold for specific dates and time slots. If you arrive outside your allotted time, we may refuse entry.

7. Tickets cannot be reshared
Tickets aren’t transferable or exchangeable.

Event rules

8. Event policies
We reserve the right to refuse entry if you breach these terms and conditions, and you may be ejected from the venue for any behavior that is unacceptable or that could cause damage, nuisance, or injury. No storage is available. Please bring only what you can carry with you. For everyone’s safety we carry out random security checks. Please do not bring large bags or prohibited items. The bag restrictions below do not apply to medical equipment or other disability-related items. Prohibited items include:

• Large bags
• Food and drink from outside the venue are not permitted, except for primary school groups. Food is available for purchase on-site.
• Alcohol of any kind
• Weapons or items that could be used as weapons
• Illegal substances
• Professional recording equipment without prior authorisation
• Drones or remote-controlled devices
• Laser pens or pointing devices
• Glass containers
• Aerosols or sprays
• Pets (except registered service dogs)
• Large umbrellas (small collapsible umbrellas permitted)
• E-scooters and e-bikes (including for charging purposes)

9. No re-entry
Once you exit, re-entry is not permitted.

10. Recording and photography
Professional or commercial photography and recording equipment is prohibited. We reserve the right to request deletion of any unauthorised content.

Your photography: You're welcome to take photos and short clips at the exhibition for personal, noncommercial use. Please ask before taking close-up photos or videos of other attendees, particularly students. Recording of full presentations or demonstrations is not permitted without prior authorisation. Please do not redistribute exhibition content commercially or use it to upload to any AI or machine learning system.

11. On-site filming
Photography and videography will take place throughout the exhibition for the purposes of event coverage, press, and Stripe YSTE’s website and social media channels. By attending, you acknowledge that you or your party may be filmed or photographed as part of the audience.

If you or anyone in your party does not wish to be filmed or photographed, please make yourself known to event staff on arrival, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

School groups: Teachers and group leaders are responsible for supervising their students and ensuring that any student who has not consented to being filmed or photographed is not included in photography and filming, and is made known to event staff.

We will also use CCTV throughout the event premises for health and safety, venue security, and the prevention and detection of crime. For more information on how we handle personal data, see our privacy notice.

Event changes

12. Cancellation refunds
If the event is cancelled (not rescheduled), your ticket(s) will be refunded.

13. Rescheduling
If the event is rescheduled, you’ll receive tickets for the new date. If you can’t attend on the new date, you may request a refund.

Our liability

14. Your travel and accommodation arrangements
Any travel, accommodation, meals, or transportation arrangements you make to attend the event are entirely at your own risk and expense.

15. Your consumer rights
These terms don’t affect your statutory consumer rights. For more information about your rights, contact Citizens Information or Consumerline if you are based in Northern Ireland.

For queries, email us at ticketing@stripeyste.com with your order number. We typically reply within a few hours during business days. Some queries may take up to 28 days to resolve, but we’ll keep you updated.

17. Governing law
These terms are governed by Irish law, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Irish courts.

18. Your privacy
We will use your personal information (name and email) to provide your tickets and event information. With your consent, we may send you email marketing communications about Stripe YSTE (e.g., feedback surveys) or otherwise communicate with you for marketing purposes. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
