1. About these terms

These terms and conditions cover the sale of tickets for the Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (“Stripe YSTE”).

Purchasing

2. Who can buy tickets

To purchase tickets from Stripe Technology Company Limited, you must be 18 or over and have a valid credit/debit card. All purchases are subject to payment verification and security checks—we may cancel your transaction if it doesn’t pass our verification process.

3. What you need

You’ll need a valid email address to receive your tickets. That’s where we’ll send your QR code and all the important details.

4. Fair play

Don’t use bots, automated systems, or any dodgy methods to buy tickets. We’ll cancel any transactions we suspect aren’t legitimate, and those tickets will be void. We also reserve the right to cancel bookings we suspect are fraudulent.

Who can use tickets and when

5. Time slots matter

Tickets are sold for specific dates and time slots. If you arrive outside your allotted time, we may refuse entry.

6. No sharing

Tickets aren’t transferable or exchangeable.

Event rules

7. Event policies

We can refuse entry if you breach these terms and conditions, and you will be ejected from the venue for any unacceptable behavior that could cause damage, nuisance, or injury. There’s no storage facility, so don’t bring what you can’t carry on your person for the day. We do random security checks, and large bags or prohibited items aren’t allowed. Prohibited items include:

• Large bags
• Food and beverages from outside (primary schools excepted; catering is available on-site)
• Alcohol of any kind
• Weapons or items that could be used as weapons
• Illegal substances
• Professional recording equipment without prior authorization
• Drones or remote-controlled devices
• Laser pens or pointing devices
• Glass containers
• Aerosols or sprays
• Pets (except registered service dogs)
• Large umbrellas (small collapsible umbrellas permitted)
• E-scooters and e-bikes (including for charging purposes)

8. No re-entry

Once you exit, re-entry is not permitted.

9. Recording and photography

Unauthorized photography and recording equipment is prohibited. We may destroy or delete any unauthorized content.

10. On-site filming

By attending, you understand and acknowledge that you may be filmed or recorded as part of the audience and the photo and audio-visual data on our website, social media, and any other media purposes. We will use CCTV cameras throughout the event premises for the purposes of health and safety, to ensure the security of the venue and property, and for the prevention and detection of crime.

Event changes

11. Cancellation refunds

If the event is cancelled (not rescheduled), your ticket(s) will be refunded.

12. Rescheduling

If the event is rescheduled, you’ll get tickets for the new date. If you can’t attend the new date, you can request a refund.

Our liability

13. Your travel and accommodation arrangements

Any travel, accommodation, meals, or transportation arrangements you make to attend the event are entirely at your own risk and expense.

14. Your consumer rights

These terms don’t affect your statutory consumer rights. For more information about your rights, contact Citizens Information.

For queries or complaints, email us at ticketing@stripeyste.com with your order number. Some queries take up to 28 days to resolve, but we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Legal stuff

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by Irish law, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Irish courts.

17. Your privacy

We use your personal information (name, email) to provide your tickets and event information. With your consent, we may send you email marketing communications about Stripe YSTE (e.g., feedback surveys) or otherwise communicate with you for marketing purposes. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
